Friday marked Jessica Rowe’s last appearance on Studio 10 following her emotional on-air resignation earlier this month.
The veteran TV journalist fought back tears at the start of the program, but promised to maintain her composure as they had serious news topics to cover.
She thanked fellow panellists Joe Hildebrand, Denise Drysdale and Angela Bishop, as well as members of the studio audience who had dressed up for her last day.
During the show, several high-profile celebrities and politicians paid tribute to Jess and thanked her for her contributions to Studio 10.
Katherine Kelly Lang, from US daytime soap The Bold and the Beautiful sent her regards, as did Leader of the Opposition Bill Shorten.
During his pre-recorded segment, the Labor politician said: ‘I just wanted to say farewell and congratulations on your five years at Studio 10.
‘It is always a pleasure to watch the show, but you brought your own style and intellect to it.
‘You are also a great champion for people living with mental health issues. I’m sure your kids will be happy to have you back,’ he concluded.
