She added, ‘I would say it openly to everyone. ‘I know. I know, I’ll stop soon. I’ll cut back.’ For me to cut back, like I’m an all or nothing girl, and so I didn’t know it was a problem until it was.’
The Dukes of Hazzard star also told Kotb, ‘I completely didn’t recognize myself…I always had a glitter cup. It was always filled to the rim with alcohol.
‘I just realized that I had to surrender. It was time. I had to give it up and I was ready. I’m not going to miss another day.’

Afterwards, they headed out and prepped for a Halloween party they were hosting; Jessica’s costume was of her pal country singer Willie Nelson.
While she was getting ready for the party with her team gluing on her fake beard and helping her with her wig, she had ‘zoned out.’
Jessica was ‘terrified of letting’ her kids see her in that state, adding that she is ‘ashamed to say’ that she didn’t know who got them in their costumes that night.
Simpson considers Halloween of 2017 to be the day she hit her personal ‘rock bottom.’
Jessica and Eric share their seven-year-old daughter Maxwell, as well son Ace, six, and their 10-month-old daughter Birdie.
