Jessie Murphy (nee Habermann) couldn’t have been prouder as she watched her husband of three years, Marc Murphy, return to the football field on Thursday.

The 31-year-old Carlton FC star just played his 250th game, and his wife and their 14-month-old son, Max, were on hand to lend their support.

Standing on the sidelines, Jessie shared a series of photos and videos from the game, which she branded a ‘milestone’ for her husband.

‘A moment to treasure forever! Congratulations again to my husband  @marcmurphy3 on such an incredible career milestone playing 250 games!’ she wrote on Instagram.

Jessie looked chic in pale blue jeans, a graphic white T-shirt and soft pink blazer as she watched the game.

Meanwhile, Max looked adorable, matching his dad in a football jersey with Marc’s squad number ‘3’ and the word ‘DADDY’ emblazoned above it.

‘Waiting for his big moment with Dad in front of 85,000 people,’ Jessie captioned a sweet photo of Max on Instagram Stories. 

After the game, Marc scooped Max up in his arms and walked back out onto the field with him to celebrate the milestone moment.

He gave Jessie a quick kiss on the lips, before then giving Max a peck too, a big banner now standing on the field, reading: ‘Congratulations Marc Murphy 250 Games’.

And while his team may not have won the game, there was no denying Marc had something to celebrate. 

Earlier in the day, Jessie had shared a sweet photo of Marc with Max, holding a football.  

‘Almost time… congratulations to my amazing husband @marcmurphy3 on reaching 250 games with @carlton_fc it’s a huge achievement and well done for your years of hard work and dedication to the game that you love! We are so proud of you!! Go Blues,’ she wrote.
