In 2015, Sam was speeding nearly 50 kilometers above the speed limit and was on the wrong side of the road when he lost control of his Ferrari, when it crashed into three cars.
Lynette Vernall, who was driving her mother, Muriel, at the time of the accident was seriously injured and sadly Muriel died after eight days in a coma.

Last year, Sam was sentenced to two years’ jail by the County Court of Victoria and Ms. Lynette slammed the sentence at the time.
‘It was manifestly inadequate. Ten years would have been lovely, eight [years] would have been fine,’ she told reporters.
Sam is just the latest in a string of men who have been linked to Jess this year.
She previously dated Dan Webb, who she began dating while she was still ‘married’ to Mick Gould on MAFS, but they split in April due to ‘trust issues’ on his part.
