The Block’s Jimmy and Tam Wilkins joke they’ve become ‘proper trailer trash’ after moving into a caravan – after ‘conwoman’ auction scandal left their house without a buyer

Jimmy and Tam Wilkins have revealed that they are now living in a caravan, after becoming The Block’s first ever millionaires when they won last year’s season.

Speaking to Cliffo and Gabi on Hit Queensland, the pair revealed they only received their $966,000 prize money recently, after a fake bidder threw their win into turmoil.

‘We only just got it about two months ago, so it was a massive roller coaster of whether we are going to get it, whether the house was going to sell,’ Jimmy said.

The couple’s property purchase comes after the sale of their $4.2million property fell through on the reality show last year.

Cyber security expert Emese Fajk had purchased the couple’s Palm Springs-inspired home at auction in November.

She failed to pay up and was later accused of being an ‘international conwoman’ with a history of faking bank slips.

During an Instagram Q&A in May, Jimmy and Tam revealed their home in Melbourne’s Brighton hadn’t found a buyer yet but they would nonetheless be getting their record-breaking $966,000 prize money.

In addition to their $966,000 profit from the sale of the property, the couple won the $100,000 for winning the show – giving them a total of $1.066million.

The sprawling four-bedroom property in Melbourne’s Brighton home finally sold in June for $4million.

According to The Herald Sun, the Palm Springs-inspired home was purchased by a local family.
