Former EastEnders star Joe Swash has been left ‘shaken’ after he was reportedly threatened with a knife during his holiday to the French Alps.

According to The Sun on Sunday, the 36-year-old actor, who played Mickey Miller on the BBC soap, was in the ski resort of Flaine when he and a group of friends were approached by a ‘blade-wielding thug’ outside their chalet.

The publication reported that the incident took place at 1:15am on Thursday when the man presented the knife at him and his friends during an argument which resulted in the police being called.

‘I’ve set aside money for my children to make sure they’ve got a roof over their head, and I still have to work really hard to carry on making that happen for however long I’ve got left on my mortgage.

‘I wouldn’t ever want to be in a position where that could be taken away from them, so I have to be sensible’, she said in an interview with Fabulous.

She added that she wasn’t rushing into having more babies with her beau of two years, Joe, without a lot of thought.

Joe is already a parent to son Harry, 10, with ex-fiancée Emma Sophocleous, while Stacey raises sons Zachary, nine, and Leighton, five, from two former relationships.

The couple are often inundated with questions about marriage and when Joe is set to propose to the former X Factor star, with Stacey claiming during an appearance on Loose Women recently that she would be happy if he popped the question via a text message.

Setting the record straight, she admitted her comment had been in jest, and said: ‘I am in love with Joe, however, he wants to propose is absolutely fine, but I am in no hurry.

‘I want it to be perfect, I want it to be special, I want the kids to be really happy and a big part of it and I think that’s what we’re both waiting for.’

She and Joe first confirmed their relationship in January 2016 and things have only gone from strength to strength for the pair, with Stacey openly revealing her hopes for the duo to tie the knot and have children together.
