John Farnham berates the Falls Festival crowd with a VERY rude slur over AC/DC song

Kids these days! John Farnham, 70, berates millennial Falls Festival crowd with a VERY rude slur when they fail to sing along to classic AC/DC anthem

He may be a 70-year-old grandfather but John Farnham can still rock out with the best of them.

The singer raised eyebrows at Falls Festival in Lorne, NSW, on Saturday night, when he unleashed a slur at the mostly millennial crowd when they failed to sing along to a classic AC/DC hit.

Fox 101.9 radio producer Leon Sjogren took to Twitter to share a video of the moment Farnsey kicked off.

John was covering the iconic rock band’s smash anthem, It’s a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock ‘n’ Roll) and goading the crowd to join in.

However, when they did not sing loudly enough – with many festival-goers seemingly not knowing the lyrics to the 1975 song – John didn’t hold back.

He sang the lyrics, ‘Hotel, motel, make you wanna cry’ and received a lacklustre response before snapping, ‘Ah, you p**sies!’

John then appeared to continue to further ramble at the crowd before the clip cut off.

He wrote: ‘John Farnham covering @ACDC at #FallsFestival and then calling the crowd ‘pussies’ for not singing loud enough may be the Aussiest thing I’ve ever witnessed.

Still got it: At age 70, John was the oldest performer at Falls Festival this year and was a surprise entry to the main stage roster

He told the Herald Sun before the show that he was looking forward to playing to a ‘much younger audience’ at the event.

‘I’m some old fart bouncing around up there under the lights, hopefully they’ll keep watching in case I fall over,’ he told the paper.
