Strictly’s John Whaite shows off his bulging biceps in a tight black vest as he heads to rehearsals following lift blunder on the hit BBC show

Strictly Come Dancing semifinalist John Whaite sent pulses racing as he showcased his toned physique ahead of training for the hit BBC show on Monday.

The star, 32, looked hot in a tight black vest top that revealed his rippling biceps and matched the top with a pair of fitted jogging bottoms.

John braved the autumnal chill by stepping out coatless and looked pensive as he set off to start rehearsals for the show.

The sexy images comes after John made a major mistake on Saturday which could’ve potentially jeopardized his move into the next round.

The former GBBO winner accidentally dropped his partner Johannes Radebe at the end of their Salsa during a lift transition.

John and Johanne had started off well performing an energetic routine to We Are Family by Sister Sledge, but thing’s went slightly pear-shaped as pro dancer Johannes offered John his wrong hand as they began the lift.

As a result, John was forced to pull off an awkward lift before Johannes appeared to slip from his grip and land heavily on the floor.

However, despite his usual acid-tongued remarks, Craig Revel Horwood admitted he ‘loves it when things go wrong!’

The routine was seemingly going flawlessly, with a plethora of flips and tricks throughout.

And as the dance came to a close, things unravelled as John struggled to lift Johannes in the air without their hands in the right position.

Following a stellar attempt, the South African dancer appeared to tumble out of John’s grasp, but ever the professional, Johannes styled it out and landed on the floor in style as he pulled off a pose to finish.

As they made their way towards to judges for their comments, Johannes shook his head as he remarked: ‘I’m so sorry!’

When asked by Tess Daly what he was sorry for, he replied: ‘Because I gave him the wrong hand.’

Commenting on the routine, Craig remarked: ‘It’s a shame about the last bit.

‘Look, I love it when it goes wrong, I absolutely love it, but you had absolutely no chance darling and you had to throw him on the floor in the end.

‘Normally it’s a lovely lift actually, I’d like to see it again working. But I have to say it did lack a tiny bit of dynamic and I think it’s something you need to work on.’

Motsi Mabuse told the pair: ‘I’m just gonna forget the end!’ before commending them on their ‘different energy, and attack’.

While Anton Du Beck joked: ‘I’ve had a few partners I wanted to put down’ before praising them for letting go of their inhibitions.

Despite the blunder, the duo managed to earn a respectable 32 points from the judge and a place in the semi finals.
