He’s currently up to his neck in acting roles and property deals with a bitter legal battle on the side.

And now Johnny Depp has had to deal with the fact that he has been nudged off Forbes’ annual highest paid actors list for the first time in years.

But Depp, 54, had his game face on whilst on the set of his newest film project, Richard Says Goodbye, on Tuesday, chatting to a preened-looking blonde co-star while they took a break from shooting.

He whipped his jacket back on and returned to work on the project – which sees him star alongside the likes of Zoey Deutch, Rosemarie DeWitt and Odessa Young.

This appearance comes on the eve of Forbes revealing their top 20 highest paid actors – a list Depp ordinarily features in the top five of.

But 2017 has been a different matter for the Pirates Of The Caribbean star.

Depp is currently embroiled in a bitter lawsuit with his former business managers who have detailed what they describe as his lavish spending habits.

Wahlberg soared to the top of the list that highlighted a huge disparity between male and female Hollywood stars.

At 46-years-old, he earned an estimated $68 million in 2017 thanks to his pay days for movies Daddy’s Home 2 and Transformers: The Last Knight, according to the Forbes ranking released on Tuesday.

The rapper-turned-actor knocked 2016 leader Dwayne The Rock Johnson into second place, with estimated 2017 earnings of $65 million.

Vin Diesel came in at number three with $54.5m for films such as xXx: The Return of Xander Cage and Marvel’s hit sequel Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

Depp has spent time to greet fans and visit the local children’s hospital during his stay in Canada as well.

Meanwhile, Forbes magazine named La La Land and Oscar winner Emma Stone as the world’s highest paid actress with an estimated 2017 take of $26 million.

Forbes said the 10 highest-paid leading men earned a combined $488.5 million before tax in its June 2016-June 2017 scoring period, nearly three times more than the $172.5 million earned by the top 10 scoring women, leading to more outcry about equality in Hollywood.
