Johnny Ruffo is in good spirits as he performs at the Italian Street Festival Ferragosto in Sydney

That’s amore! Johnny Ruffo appears in good spirits as he makes a rare appearance performing on stage at street festival in Sydney after being cleared of brain cancer

He was given the ‘all clear’ earlier this year after battling an aggressive brain tumour.

And on Sunday, Johnny Ruffo, 31, looked on top of the world as he made a rare appearance on stage at the Italian street festival Ferragosto at Five Dock, in Sydney’s inner west.

He was all smiles as he belted out two catchy Italian tunes in front of the hordes of people at the festival, which is Canada Bay’s largest annual event.

Johnny, who was dressed in a long-sleeved purple shirt and tight pair of black trousers, looked happy and healthy while he serenaded the crowds.

He looked quite the dapper gent in a trilby hat, which was emblazoned with a red, green and white stripe to represent Italy’s flag.

At one point, the star showed off his trademark dance moves, reminiscent of the late Michael Jackson, followed by a cheeky nod to the ladies in the audience.

Ahead of his performance, he had also posted a snap of himself as the festival’s headline act on the front cover of a local newspaper.

‘Come join us @ferragosto_sydney in Five Dock this weekend… I’ll be on stage from 2:30pm,’ the accompanying caption stated.

Johnny’s performance was just one of several draw-card acts to appear on the event’s five stages, along with free amusement rides.

Aside from the music and dancing, the festival also showcased a dazzling display of Italian vehicles including Mini Fiats, Ducati bikes and Alfa Romeos.
