Jonah Hill showcases svelte frame while surfing in Malibu

The same day his girlfriend appeared to be pregnant and wearing an engagement ring, two-time Oscar nominee Jonah Hill was focused on riding the waves during a surfing session in Malibu on Monday.

The 39-year-old LA native – who also practices Brazilian jiu-jitsu – looked slimmer than ever, protecting his 5ft7in frame with a black wetsuit.

Jonah belongs to a group called ‘Surf Jews California’ with filmmaker Spike Jonze and Beastie Boys rapper Mike Diamond, which he told GQ last year they created as an ‘inside joke.’

‘Been terrified to surf my whole life. Totally random fear and at the same time always been a secret dream of mine,’ Hill wrote of his first time in a since-deleted 2019 Instagram post.

‘Turned out to be one of the most fun experiences I’ve ever had.’

Jonah will also reportedly direct a film called Outcome starring Keanu Reeves, and produce a feature adaptation of Chris Leslie-Hynan’s 2014 novel Ride Around Shining through his production company Strong Baby.

Last year, Hill – who suffers from anxiety attacks – discussed his fluctuating weight with his therapist Phil Stutz for his second feature directorial effort, the Netflix documentary Stutz.

‘When I was a kid, exercise and diet was framed to me as like, “There’s something wrong with how you look,”‘ the Winning Time director recalled.

‘But never once was exercise and diet propositioned to me in terms of mental health. I just wish that was presented to people differently.’

Jonah admitted growing up overweight ‘intensely f***ed me up,’ and inside he still feels like ‘a 14-year-old boy who’s very overweight and has acne and feels very undesirable to the world.’

‘​​Inherently, at my core, I’m still this unlovable person,’ Hill explained.

‘But the work is inching toward [realizing] that it’s great to be this person. But that’s still very hard.’

Jonah and Liv might also very well be engaged as she was rocking a large square-cut diamond ring on her left ring finger.
