Jonathan Ross hosts his annual star-studded Halloween bash

Jonathan Ross’ annual Halloween party set off in fine fashion as Ed Sheeran and girlfriend Cherry Seaborn became the first of the stars to attend the lavish bash held at his Hampstead manor on Tuesday evening.

The chat show host proved he had not held back on decorations for his bash as his home was adorned in spooky decorations and attracting a host of trick or treaters ahead of the A-List guests – which included the likes of Holly Willoughby and Claudia Schiffer.

Ed, 26, and Cherry opted for a couple’s costume for the party, opting to go as 70s hustlers by dressing in pink fur coats and holding gaudy canes as they sashayed into the bash. The pair also rocked hot pink trilby caps with vibrant feathers.

Getting the party started: Holly Willoughby and her husband Dan Baldwin seemed in good spirits as they headed into the bash with supermodel Claudia Schiffer and her other half Matthew Vaughn

The couple were in for a treat as they made their way into Jonathan’s party, as circus performers and reams of lanterns, fake cobwebs and pumpkins were seen piled up outside the 56-year-old chat show host’s property.

Jonathan, 56, and his wife Jane Goldman, 47, also opted for a couple’s costume, dressing as Orin Scrivello and Audrey from the 1986 musical horror and comedy, Little Shop of Horrors, which tells the tale of a man eating plant.

The presenter had teased a glimpse of their outfits on Twitter ahead of the party, sharing a snap captioned: ‘Couples costume!’ as the duo posed up a storm and snapped the image with their own Snapchat filter for the party.

Jonathan perfectly chanelled the evil dentist Orin in the film – a role originally played by Steve Martin in the film, whilst Jane looked the spitting image of Ellen Greene – who played Audrey.

Adding to the spooky element of the costume, Jane had sewed herself into a man eating plant costume.

Holly Willoughby also dressed to impress. Having transformed into an ‘ice zombie unicorn’ for Tuesday’s episode of This Morning, she put on a rockier edge to her magical ensemble after dark as she stepped out with her Tin Man husband Dan Baldwin at Jonathan’s annual party.

The presenter, 36, was almost unrecognisable in her mythical outfit, which she debuted earlier in the day, adding some darker and more sinister touches for the spooky evening.

Holly, who rocked a sparkling silver horn and tumbling rainbow tresses, threw on a quirky patterned leather jacket over her white and silver glittery top, to toughen up the look.

Cruising along: Holly and her husband no doubt raised eyebrows as they left home to arrive at the party

The eclectic jacket was decorated with sparkling silver studs as well as frog and jewel designs, adding to the otherworldly look of the outfit.

Swapping out her white furry trousers from earlier in the day, Holly showed off her slender legs in black skinny jeans and added height with black ankle boots.

In a change from her usual wholesome breakfast television look, the star rocked dramatic smoky eye make-up, blue eyeshadow, face jewels and white face-paint, giving her an ethereal look.

Making an arrival: Whilst Melanie Sykes appeared to have missed the memo somewhat and appeared to sport just a smidge of fake blood under her nose, Alan Carr went all out as he recreated Gemma Collins look at the ITV summer party

Attracting attention: Alan ensured he’d turn heads with his ensemble, which he completed with fake blood, whilst out with his terrifying companion dressed as Pennywise The Clown from IT

The star held onto her husband of 10 years arm, as he rocked an impressive Tin Man costume, made famous in the iconic film, The Wizard of Oz.

TV executive Dan wowed in a silver bodysuit, tin hat and elaborate face-paint which included metallic cogs stuck to his face and fake blood pouring from his eyes.

He added a casual touch to his outfit with trainers and carried an axe as befitting the character.

Didn't get the memo? Melanie Sykes was incredibly dressed down given the array of costumes on show. Instead of dressing up the star opted to wear a casual ensemble of distressed skinny jeans with a black blazer and a touch of fake blood

Casual Tuesdays? Melanie’s look was far less vibrant than her pal’s who donned a spooky werewolf ensemble

Jonathan’s bashes are so packed full of stars that he has previously enlisted the help of the police to protect both the guests and the public. However, in 2016 it was revealed that the officers on duty were funded by the tax payer.

An angry neighbour was appalled by the discovery after he submitted the Freedom of Information request following the high-profile party, and found the cost of the operation to be £531.80, none of which was funded by the broadcaster.

While officers weren’t stationed on the front door of Ross’s property, a policing plan was drawn up ‘for the protection of the public’.

Reasons given for the outlay were potential dangers to the public from crowding of the pavement, spilling onto the road and impingement of traffic.

The Metropolitan Police said: ‘Local officers will continue to attend and interact at events of all kinds on their areas as part of their normal patrols as this is an integral way to foster support and trust in the police and to promote engagement and communication as we do for school fetes and the like.’

A police source told the Daily Mirror: ‘Most officers would rather spend time on proper jobs, rather than shepherding rubberneckers gawping at celebs in silly outfits.’
