And Jonathan, 43, gave fans more details on the project as he sat down for an interview with the Today Show with his twin brother Drew Scott.
‘We found our forever home,’ Jonathan said of the home he shares with Zooey, adding that they plan on keeping the home in the family ‘forever and ever.’

‘We bought a new old home,’ the Property Brothers said, adding: ‘It’s a 1938 historic home that’s absolutely beautiful, but yes the secret’s out.’
‘We found our forever home and we are embarking on this renovation,’ he explained.
‘Our hope is that when its done this will be a home that stays in the family forever and ever.’
The interview was an excerpt from an upcoming episode of Shop Today With Jill Martin, which streams on Thursday, January 20 on TODAY All Day at 11:30 and 5:30 pm EST.

In December, Jonathan and Zooey, 42, announced news they bought their dream home together for the cover story of Drew + Jonathan Reveal magazine.
The couple put in an offer in early May 2020 and closed on the home in June 2020; they began renovating it so after.
The Georgian-style home was built by California architect Gerard Colcord in 1938.
In the magazine, Jonathan said of the first time they saw it: ‘As we pulled up the drive, it just seemed… magical. It sat on a little over an acre, and with its lush lawn and massive California sycamores, it looked like a park. Which is why when we first brought the kids by the property, they dubbed it the Park House.’
‘This dream home would become the largest residential renovation I had ever done in my career,’ he said in the interview, adding: ‘We have each other, and we have time – the rest of our lives together in this house. Our house. Our dream home, where we’ll see the kids grow up laughing and adventuring in the yard, where we’ll play host to friends and family.’

Zooey has kids daughter Elsie, six, and son Charlie, four, with ex husband Jacob Pechenik.
Zooey and Jonathan have been dating for over two years; they celebrated their two year anniversary in August 2021.
They first met on James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke in summer 2019 during a segment they were filming about siblings, with Zooey and her sister actress Emily Deschanel and Jonathan with his twin Drew Scott.
The 500 Days of Summer star and her ex-husband film producer Jacob Pechenik wed in 2015 and split in late 2019, finalizing their divorce in May 2020.
She was married from 2009 until 2012 to Death Cab for Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard.
