Joni Mitchell, 78, bounces back from her health struggles on a walk with a male companion

Joni Mitchell was spotted looking radiant and healthy as she posed for photos on a walk with a male friend in Los Angeles.

The 78-year-old music legend has fought life-threatening illnesses in recent years and couldn’t walk or talk at one point after she suffered a brain aneurysm in 2015.

But during a stroll last week, Joni appeared to have bounced back from her ailments.

Wearing a blue boho blouse, light blue jeans, brown Ugg boots and a straw hat with a feather, Joni walked with a cane and was helped by her male companion as she tended to flowers.

Her outfit was typical of her bohemian style that’s made her a folk and hippy icon since the 1960s.

Joni has also had a longtime battle with a condition called Morgellons disease, which reportedly left her unable to wear clothing because she felt as though she was being ‘eaten alive.’

As a result of her health struggles Joni rarely left her home for long periods of time.

But she made a surprise comeback during the pandemic and made a showstopping appearance at the 2022 MusiCares gala in April.

Joni was honored as the Person of the Year at the gala at the MGM Grand Conference Center in Las Vegas.

She has won 12 Grammys in a glittering career that’s seen her shine in the fields of rock, pop and jazz while also releasing 23 albums.

While she is currently single, Joni has been divorced twice and also dated a string of famous names in her heyday including fellow musicians Leonard Cohen, David Crosby, Graham Nash, James Taylor and Jackson Browne.

The singer made headlines earlier this year by joining Neil Young in removing her music from Spotify in protest against their promotion of Joe Rogan’s vaccine-sceptic views.

She said she was standing ‘in solidarity’ with Young who demanded Spotify take down his songs unless the platform agrees to stop carrying The Joe Rogan Experience podcast.

The Big Yellow Taxi singer said the streaming giant was allowing ‘irresponsible people’ to spread lies that were ‘costing people their lives’

Mitchell also shared an open letter signed by a coalition of medical professionals calling on Spotify to take action against ‘mass-misinformation events’ occurring on its platform.

‘I’ve decided to remove all my music from Spotify,’ Mitchell said in a statement on her official website.

‘Irresponsible people are spreading lies that are costing people their lives.

‘I stand in solidarity with Neil Young and the global scientific and medical communities on this issue.’

Spotify acquired The Joe Rogan Experience podcast in 2020, reportedly for more than 100 million dollars. Joni Mitchell said the streaming giant was allowing ‘irresponsible people’ to spread lies that were ‘costing people their lives’

The open letter made reference to a specific episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, released on December 31, 2021 in which ‘baseless conspiracy theories’ were promoted.

‘By allowing the propagation of false and societally harmful assertions, Spotify is enabling its hosted media to damage public trust in scientific research and sow doubt in the credibility of data-driven guidance offered by medical professionals,’ the letter said.

‘This is not only a scientific or medical concern; it is a sociological issue of devastating proportions and Spotify is responsible for allowing this activity to thrive on its platform.

‘We, the undersigned doctors, nurses, scientists, and educators thus call on Spotify to immediately establish a clear and public policy to moderate misinformation on its platform.’
