Mother, 21, tells jury how she froze in terror after alleged serial sex attacker Joseph McCann ‘bundled her into his car at knifepoint before raping her in horrific five-hour ordeal’

An alleged victim in the trial of man accused of carrying out sex attacks on 11 people in two weeks has told how she was dragged from a street at knifepoint and raped during a five-hour ordeal.
Joseph McCann, of Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, is said to have attacked eleven victims aged between 11 and 71 in two weeks of ‘depravity’ between 20 April and 5 May.
Today, a 21-year-old woman told the Old Bailey she was walking home from a nightclub in Watford when McCann pulled up alongside her in a Ford Mondeo and bundled her inside.
Giving evidence via a video link, the woman said she was had argued with friends following a night at Prism nightclub and decided to make her own way home.
She was talking on the phone when McCann pulled up and put a knife to her throat, she said.
She shouted to the person she was on the phone to to call the police but he didn’t hear her.

McCann then pulled her into the car and threw her phone out of the window, she told the court.
She wept as she recalled how he put his arm around her so she could not move and forced her into the passenger seat. ‘I felt a knife to my neck,’ she sobbed.
In the car McCann gave her cocaine and got her to drink Malibu before driving her to her flat.
Asked why she did not scream to neighbours for help as she walked to the flat she said: ‘What if i did shout and they didn’t hear me? What if i was left stranded?
‘I was in heels. I couldn’t run. He would have caught me.’
McCann claims she consented to sex on the bed, but the woman said today: ‘We didn’t have sex. He raped me. I didn’t even look at him. I just froze. I didn’t say anything.’
‘He kept saying because I was his girlfriend I had to do what he said.’
Five hours later, McCann drove her from her the property. He repeatedly told her she was beautiful and wanted her phone number so they could keep in touch, she said.
The woman told how she had wiped herself with a tissue during the ordeal and threw it into her child’s room to provide DNA evidence against McCann.
McCann, 34, denies seven counts of rape, one count of rape of a child under 13, seven counts of kidnap, one attempted kidnap, 10 counts of false imprisonment, three counts of assault by penetration, three counts of causing or inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity, one count of sexual assault and two of causing a person to engage in sexual activity without their consent.
He is not present in the dock. The trial continues.
