Bills quarterback Josh Allen has bemoaned his overall performance against the Jets, claiming that his error ‘hurt’ the team amid speculation that he may have sustained a concussion during the game.
Following Buffalo’s 22-16 loss at MetLife Stadium on Monday, in which he had four turnovers, a frustrated Allen said: ‘Same s***, same place, different day… I hurt our team tonight. I cost our team tonight. This feels eerily similar to last year, and I hate that it’s the same. I do.’
The game that the 27-year-old, two-time Pro Bowler was referring to is a 20-17 away loss in Week 9 of the 2022 season when Allen threw two interceptions against a Jets team that was led by quarterback Zach Wilson, as it was on Monday too.
Speculation that Allen had suffered a concussion during Monday’s game overflowed social media after the final score was in.
The Big Lead theorized that the Bills. No. 17 ‘might have hit his head’ on the ground on two separate plays.

On the first occasion, he was running with the football, while the second came after his second interception of the night by Jordan Whitehead.
Allen also landed awkwardly after being intercepted for a third time before fumbling on a ‘play where he didn’t catch a snap cleanly, then ran into one of his own teammates and lost the ball,’ analyzed The Big Lead’s Stephen Douglas.
Allen has been cursed lately when it comes to having to play the Jets.

But to his defense, the quarterback has also been let down by the Bills defense at times, given that he’s been sacked 13 times in three games too. That’s over four sacks per game on average at that rate.
What’s more, is that five of those 13 sacks came on Monday night.
Allen ended up having a QB rating of 63.7 after Buffalo’s first loss of the season, per ESPN.
The former Wyoming star led the NFL in turnovers last season (19). He tied his single-game career-high on Monday by losing possession four times.
