Josh Schuster may act the hard man at Manly, but the 21-year-old showed his emotional side after breaking down in tears on his international debut for Samoa.

Schuster was called up for his country’s clash with the Cook Islands on Saturday and openly admitted that it would be an emotional night, with his family boasting a proud history of playing at international level.

‘I’m not going to lie…I am definitely going to cry knowing how much it means to my family,’ Schuster said.

‘Everyone is so proud of me as I have family in Samoa, New Zealand, America, and Australia.

‘To represent my country for my family is going to be one of the best moments of my career.’

And as predicted, Schuster was unable to contain his emotions during his country’s national anthem, with tears streaming down his face as he looked to the skies, with his family surely at the forefront of his mind.
