Julie Bishop showed off her very expensive sense of style as she stepped out in an outfit worth more than $45,000 on Tuesday night.
The former Australian politician, 68, pulled out all the stops for a David Jones event held at Sydney’s Powerhouse Museum while dripping in luxury garments.
Julie looked the picture of elegance in a black mini dress with a pleated skirt and embellished with gold buttons and a sparkling lining.
The $729 gown was from designer Rebecca Vallance, but was the most modest item in Julie’s pricey outfit as she sported some much more luxurious accessories.
She added some glitz to her sophisticated ensemble with a pair of gold Louis Vuitton earrings, which retail for an eye-watering $36,910.
The earrings have proved to be a staple in Julie’s sprawling wardrobe as she has frequently been spotted getting use out of the high-class jewellery item.
Julie also gave herself a few extra inches in a pair of Gianvito Rossi heeled slingback pumps, which cost a huge $2,090.
The former Minister of Foreign Affairs toted her essentials in a black Valentino leather handbag, which is priced at $3,720.

She proved herself to be up-to-date on the latest designer trends as she posed for the cameras in her lavish ensemble, which cost a grand total of $46,449.
Julie joined the stars at an event to mark the gifting of the David Jones’ archive to the Powerhouse Museum in a partnership to invest further in Australian designs.
The exhibition will include thousands of artefacts from David Jones’ 186-year history and marks the start of a three-year partnership between the Aussie brand and the museum.
Julie is known for her incredible sense of style and is often spotted out at events sporting chic designer garments and high-class items of jewellery.
At Australian Fashion Week, Julie also solidified her status as the country’s ‘Minister of Fashion’ after attending an impressive six shows during the star-studded event.
She has also been changing up her look in recent months, trying out an array of edgy hairstyles, compared to her usual polished look.
Elsewhere, it was recently revealed that Julie is dating Perth motorcycle rider Stephen Gray, with the couple appearing to have been together for several months.
Julie first shared photographs with Stephen to her Instagram back in July 2023, but news of their romance emerged earlier this year.
Little is known about Stephen, but his Facebook profile features one picture of him proudly standing behind a cafe-racer style motorcycle, clad in a black leather jacket.

Their romance came to light when Julie’s name and ‘partner’ Steve Gray appeared together on the guest list for the Australian Grand Prix’s Glamour on the Grid event.
However, the former deputy Liberal Party leader did not attend as she was instead back in her home town of Perth.
The couple recently travelled to South Australia for a ‘fabulous outback adventure’ together.
In a video shared to her Instagram account, Julie put together a montage of images and clips from their outback holiday and tagged Stephen.
It comes almost two years after her ex David Panton, 62, allegedly dumped her over dinner in Sydney in July 2022, putting an end to their eight-year relationship.
