Jurgen Klopp insisted he doesn’t care who Liverpool face in the last eight of the Champions League.

Having breezed past Porto, securing a 0-0 draw at Anfield after the hugely impressive 5-0 away win, Klopp spoke about the upcoming draw.

He told BT Sport: ‘I don’t mind to be honest, I don’t care. Next week the draw? We don’t wish anybody, we play each team. Five English teams, at one point we could meet, it’s not important.’

The five-goal advantage allowed the German to rest some key players and afford game-time to the likes of Adam Lallana and Danny Ings.

‘Adam needed a few minutes. We need to get used to him again a little bit more. It was good and important for him to play that long, 90 minutes.

‘Ingsy half an hour, nice for him. He knows he could have scored, usually he would in these situations. Header, brilliant cross, unfortunately not.’

And despite the goal-less draw, the 50-year-old was content with the application of his players.

‘It’s a knockout game. I think it’s hard when you watch a game and think, a bit more here, a bit more there. but the attitude was outstanding.

‘I think we did the job, that was the job tonight. Not the most exciting game but we controlled it, kept a clean sheet, gave boys minutes to play, not the highest intensity.

‘Rare to have a game like this in knockout stage but they did wonderful job in Porto so we had to be serious,’ he concluded.
