Jurgen Klopp has admitted he is hopeful that Thiago Alcantara will be fit enough to feature in Liverpool’s Champions League final against Real Madrid on Saturday.
The 31-year-old sustained an Achilles problem on the final day of the Premier League season when Liverpool beat Wolves 3-1 at Anfield.
There were concerns he would be ruled out of Saturday’s fixture at the Stade de France but scans on Monday eased fears that he suffered significant damage.

Speaking at Liverpool’s pre-match press conference, Klopp said: ‘He has a good chance. He will be training this afternoon.
‘He did some stuff this morning and at the moment he looks like he can be part of training tomorrow.
‘It is surprisingly good. It doesn’t look that bad. We will see.’
