- A UFC champion has gone viral for chasing a man around with a flamethrower
- The fighter has also recently broken his belt just days after winning the title
- It’s not the first time the star has shown his chaotic behaviour outside the cage
A UFC champion has gone viral for chasing a man with a flamethrower as he continues his bizarre behaviour since claiming the title.
As well as chasing a man with a flamethrower, the champion has also broken his belt since winning the title.
The video was recently uploaded to Instagram by Hans Molenkamp – who works for Monster Energy.
‘I love the smell of burnt hair in the morning,’ Molenkamp captioned the video, with the UFC fighter clearly not understanding the risks of playing with fire.
Molenkamp can also be heard saying: ‘You just singed my arm,’ before showing off the damage caused. However, the fighter responsible didn’t have anything to say about the incident.

The fighter with the flamethrower is none other than the new middleweight champion, Sean Strickland.
Thankfully, no one involved was hurt – with Strickland only having the flamethrower in his hands for a few moments.
Strickland, who shocked the world by beating Israel Adesanya via decision at UFC 293 in Sydney, is well-known for his odd behaviour outside of the cage.
Just days after dethroning Adesanya, the American star revealed he has already broken the belt – and fixed it with duct tape.
‘Guys, I already broke my belt,’ he admits in the Instagram clip showing a gold plate that had partly detached from the leather.
‘But I have a solution,’ he adds.
Strickland then reaches for some duct tape and applies it to the incredible trophy piece, valued at approximately £403,000 ($500,000).
‘Good as new,’ Strickland smiles afterwards.

It came just a week after he dethroned Israel Adesanya at UFC 293 in Syndey

He captioned the post, ‘Is it just me or did this belt just become way better?’
Fight fans had a field day with the video clip, with many not surprised the belt was already broken.
‘Strickland the type of guy to break his championship belt by using it as an actual belt,’ joked one Instagram user.
‘This is why we can’t have nice things Sean,’ said another.
After dethroning Adesanya, Dana White and the rest of the UFC will be deciding what’s next for Strickland
After shocking the world against Adesanya, it is unclear as to who Strickland will fight next inside the cage.
A rematch with the ‘Last Stylebender’ is on the cards, while a possible with showdown against Dricus du Plessis or Robert Whittaker also makes sense.
Alex Pereira, who recently made his light-heavyweight debut, is also in contention and already holds a win over Strickland.
