Justin Timberlake reunites with Timbaland in studio while Nelly Furtado dials in on Facetime as the tease new collaboration

Timbaland and Justin Timberlake were featured in a pair of shots shared on Nelly Furtado’s Instagram Story on Tuesday.

In the 44-year-old singer’s photos, the hitmaker and the singer appeared to be making the most of their time in a recording studio.

The producer, whose frequent collaborator recently teased the release of a new song, also shared a short clip that showed him bobbing his head while listening to an unidentified track.

Although Timbaland, 51, tagged both Timberlake, 42, and Furtado in the video, he did not confirm if they had contributed to the new project.

The producer and the Suit And Tie singer also reposted their collaborator’s photos to their own Instagram Stories.

Timbaland, born Timothy Zachery Mosley, previously worked with Timberlake on several projects, including the latter’s 2006 album FutureSex/LoveSounds.

The songwriter also collaborated with Furtado on numerous occasions, and he served as one of the producers on her third studio album, Loose.

The trio went on to work on the track Give It To Me, which was released in 2007.

The track was an immediate hit with listeners, and it topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart after its release.

Timbaland, Timberlake and Furtado subsequently performed the song at the 2007 Grammy Awards ceremony, and footage from the show was used in its music video.

Give It To Me was put up for the Grammy Award for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals in 2008, although the three ultimately lost to Robert Plant and Alison Krauss.

Timbaland spoke about working with Timberlake during an interview with Variety, where he discussed the creation of the latter’s upcoming album.

‘You have to know how to be authentic and true to the art and understand it, and that’s what this album is. We took our time,’ he said.

The hitmaker also spoke about how he worked closely with the hitmaker during the project’s production.

‘We had songs that maybe were too complicated, but we said “We want it to feel like FutureSex part two,” so we picked songs that will fit that,’ he said.

Timbaland concluded by speaking about Timberlake’s most recently-released album, which many saw as a break from his past work.

‘I’m gonna try to help him make what he’s trying to do the best it can be, and with Man of the Woods, he had a vision and me and [co-producer] Pharrell and him tried to execute the vision to the most highest level that we could,’ he said.
