Seoul police said in a statement that her manager had tried to call round to the 25-year-old’s house the last night but received no response.

They added that the K-pop star was battling depression and had spoken out against cyber-bullying in the past.

Sulli is said to have suspended her music career after struggling with abuse she received online over recent months, according to the BBC.

Sulli had over five million followers on Instagram and was first involved in scandal in 2016 after showing her nipples online. This caused uproar in the traditionally conservative South Korea.

The ‘no bra’ scandal resurfaced last month when her breasts were shown accidentally during a live Instagram stream.

Sulli had been a member of the popular K-pop band F(x) but left in 2015 to focus on her acting career.
