Kalidou Koulibaly has left Chelsea just twelve months after signing for the Blues to join Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal in a £20million move.
The 32-year-old joined Chelsea from Napoli in a deal worth £34million last summer, penning a four year deal as one of a number of signings brought in as Todd Boehly oversaw an ill-fated £600million overhaul to the Blues squad.
During his sole season at the club, Koulibaly made 32 appearances and netted twice in all competitions for the Blues.
However, a hamstring injury towards the end of the season limited his involvement as Chelsea crashed out of the Champions League and slumped to a twelfth-place finish under returning boss Frank Lampard.
A statement on the club’s website thanked Koulibaly for his efforts at Stamford Bridge.
