California Sen. Kamal Harris, a former prosecutor, ran down what she termed the ‘rap sheet’ of President Donald Trump, and told South Carolina Democratic delegates that ‘I know how to take on predators.’

Harris ran through an extended ‘rap sheet’ she said Trump had accrued, but didn’t mention Friday’s extraordinary account by a writer E. Jean Carroll who claims Donald Trump raped her inside a Bergdorf Goodman dressing room in the 1990s.

‘I know how to take on predators,’ she told delegates here in Columbia, South Carolina.

‘I took on the big banks,’ she continued. ‘I took on for profit colleges and put them out of business … I took on transactional criminal organizations who are praying on women and children. I know how to get that job done and I did it for the people,’ she continued.

California Sen. Kamala Harris ran down President Trump’s ‘rap sheet,’ but did not mention the new sexual assault accusation against him

‘So let’s read that rap sheet, shall we?’ she asked. ‘He asked black americans he said what do you have to lose? Well, we know civil rights investigations are down, hate crimes are up. We had a lot to lose,’ she said.  ‘Let’s look at that rap sheet where he told working people that he would help them but instead passed a tax bill benefitting the top 1 per cent and the biggest corporations of this country,’ she continued.

‘Let’s look at that rap sheet,’ she told cheering delegates. She brought up the tax bill, his ‘trade policy by tweet.’

‘Let’s look at that rap sheet where he said he would give everyone heath care,’ she continued. She called for ‘looking at that rap sheet where he has embraced dictators like Kim Jong-un Putin.

Harris spoke after Trump furiously denied the claim of one of America’s best known advice columnists who says she was raped by Trump  inside a dressing room at Bergdorf Goodman in the mid-90s.

Denial: The White House called Carroll’s allegations ‘a completely false and unrealistic story’ meant to make Trump look bad

E Jean Carroll, now 75, whose advice column has appeared in Elle for the past 26 years, alleges she was sexually assaulted by Trump in her new book What Do We Need Men For? A Modest Proposal.

She wrote: ‘It became a fight. And it hurt. And it was against my will.’

The White House responded to Carroll’s allegations by stating: ‘This is a completely false and unrealistic story surfacing 25 years after allegedly taking place and was created simply to make the President look bad.’

A heated Trump later expounded on this statement with his own remarks on Friday afternoon.

‘I’ve never met this person in my life. She is trying to sell a new book—that should indicate her motivation. It should be sold in the fiction section,’ said Trump.
