Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Justyn Ross has been charged with domestic battery and criminal damage of less than $1,000, court records in Johnson County, Kansas show.
Ross, 23, was arrested Monday in Shawnee, Kansas, and appeared in court Tuesday afternoon.
He pleaded not guilty to both misdemeanor charges during his arraignment hearing and his bond was set at $2,500 with various conditions, including no contact with the accuser or any witnesses.
The alleged victim reportedly told a 911 operator that Ross was ‘dragging her through the house and has torn up the house’ in dispatch audio, according to TMZ.
The woman reportedly called from a neighbor’s phone as she claimed that the wide out had broken her cell phone.

She also alleged that the football player had a firearm at the residence but did not have it on him at the time.
The domestic battery charge he faces is defined as ‘knowingly causing physical contact with a person with whom the offender is involved or has been involved in a dating relationship or a family or household member, when done in a rude, insulting or angry manner.’
According to Shawnee police, the items in the property damage charge include a laptop, computer, an iPhone, a gold bracelet and a car key.
It initially was reported that Ross was arrested Monday in Shawnee, Kan., on suspicion of criminal damage exceeding $25,000, a felony but it has since been amended to domestic battery with no priors and criminal damage of less than $1,000.
The Chiefs are aware of the arrest, according to ESPN. DailyMail.com has contacted the organization for comment but has not yet received a response.
The wideout joined the reigning Super Bowl champions last season as an undrafted free agent out of Clemson but didn’t play in 2022 due to injuries.

However, he hasn’t played in all seven of the Chiefs’ games this season but has recorded three catches for 34 yards in three of them.
His arrest came less than 24 hours after the Chiefs beat the Los Angeles Chargers 31-17 to maintain their five-game winning streak.
Ross didn’t play in the win at Arrowhead Stadium, which was played out in front of Kansas City tight end Travis Kelce’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift.
Ross last featured in Patrick Mahomes’s wide receiver corps during the Chiefs’ 27-20 win at the Minnesota Vikings in Week 5 on October 8.
