Kanye West wants social media companies to hide ‘likes’ and follower numbers in Twitter rant

He boasts over 28million followers on Twitter alone. 

But if Kanye West had his way, no one would ever know that, according to the rapper’s tweets on Saturday.

‘I personally want to participate in social media with the option of not having to show my followers or likes,’ wrote the 41-year-old, in a tweet liked by nearly 10,000 people.

The Gold Digger hitmaker also wrote: ‘Having your amount of likes on display for the world to see and judge is like showing how much money you have in the bank or having to write the size of your d**k on your t shirt’.

‘There are people who are committing suicide due to not getting enough likes. Seeking validation in the simulation.’

‘We need a live-streamed meeting with Jack Dorsey Kevin Systrom Mike Krieger Mark Zuckerberg and Evan Spiegal,’ pleaded the husband of Kim Kardashian. 

With the text he included a screen grab of an article from tech blog Select All with the headline, ‘Kanye West Is Finally Right About Something: Twitter Should Lose Its Metrics’.

It was seemingly a reference to the odd shoes Kanye wore to 2 Chainz’s wedding in Miami last month. 

Many fans commented that the slides were too big for West’s feet.

And as part of Kanye’s social media dump, the rapper posted several pictures that referenced his forthcoming album.

Three photos showed a familiar iPhone text bubble containing the words ‘YANDHI 9 29 18’.

The words are apparently are reference to the release date of Kanye’s new album, set for release on September 29.
