A source reportedly told Woman’s Day on Monday that the breakfast TV star’s sudden demotion at Nine ‘could prove problematic’ for their union.

‘The honeymoon is well and truly over now – although it barely even began,’ the ‘insider’ claimed of Karl, 44, and Jasmine, 34.
‘When Karl and Jasmine first got together, he was the biggest name on Australian TV. But that’s no longer the case, and it’s possible that could change the dynamics in any marriage,’ the source added.

While the pair were celebrating their honeymoon with billionaire pal James Packer in Aspen last week, news broke that Karl had lost his role as Today show host after almost 14 years.

Despite the controversy surrounding Karl’s exit from Today, it was confirmed on Wednesday that he will remain at Nine.
Darren Wick, director of news and current affairs at Nine, issued a statement on Wednesday about his future at the network.
‘Karl remains on contract with the network and will continue to host This Time Next Year, which records in February,’ he said in a statement.
After returning to Australia with Jasmine on Friday following their honeymoon, Karl insisted to media at the airport that he’s not disappointed in his sudden demotion.
‘I’m moving forward with a sense of excitement about what’s to come,’ he said.
