Karl Stefanovic reached boiling point on Christmas Day when he was spotted at Gold Coast airport with new wife Jasmine Yarbrough.
The axed Today host, 44, raised eyebrows by exploding in a bizarre rant directed at a photographer who had taken photos of the newlyweds enjoying festive down time.
Clad in a black T-shirt, white shorts and a trucker cap, an irate-looking Karl swore at the photographer and asked him if he had a ‘disease.’

‘Take your f**king camera and get out that f**king door, it’s f**king Christmas,’ Karl was heard yelling by onlookers.
He then stormed up to the photographer and continued his rant.
‘It’s Christmas Day and you’re taking photos on Christmas Day,’ Karl said.
‘Why are you shaking? Have you got some disease, are you sick in the head? You got a s**t job?,’ Karl continued.
‘It’s Christmas day. Go home!’

Darren Wick, director of news and current affairs at Nine, issued a statement on Wednesday about his future at the network.
‘Karl remains on contract with the network and will continue to host This Time Next Year, which records in February,’ he said in a statement.
After returning to Australia with Jasmine on Friday following their honeymoon, Karl insisted to media at the airport that he’s not disappointed in his sudden demotion.
‘I’m moving forward with a sense of excitement about what’s to come,’ he said.

Speaking to Woman’s Day, an insider claimed that the axing came after Karl rang Nine management to complain that his brother, Peter Stefanovic, had been dumped from Weekend Today.
‘He didn’t have a job at the end of that telephone call,’ they said.
Karl had begun to lose touch with the show’s audience after divorcing wife Cassandra Thorburn before being linked to the much-younger Jasmine three months later.
But it was the couple’s lavish nuptials, held at the elite One & Only Palmilla Resort in Mexico, which apparently concerned Nine’s executives.
‘He was reportedly told to tone down the ‘Jasmine midlife crisis’ thing he had going on. He was told not to be seen as part of some A-list, to stop wearing white pants and silly hats,’ the source said.
Karl’s new lifestyle, coupled with the revelation by Daily Mail Australia that his children did not in fact attend the wedding, was reportedly the final straw for Nine management.
