Eschewing the more traditional Father’s Day activities, the 47-year-old actress headed to Harriet’s Rooftop bar sporting a strapless tartan top and flirty mid-length skirt.

Completing the look, she added some neon yellow stilettos, pulled her brunette tresses into a youthful ponytail, and added some diamond heart earrings.

Kate paid tribute to her late father, actor Richard Beckinsale, in a sweet post on Sunday as she shared a clip of one of his TV appearances from the seventies.

Richard was best known for his roles in UK sitcoms Rising Damp and Porridge. He died suddenly in 1979 at the age of 31.

The clip she shared showed Richard alongside Kate’s mom Judy on TV series This Is Your Life in 1977. The clip also shows Kate’s first ever TV appearance at four years old.

The Underworld star was just five when her father Richard suffered a fatal heart attack at the family’s Berkshire home. A post-mortem later revealed he had coronary artery disease at the time of his death.

Of losing her father, the Hollywood actress said in 2013: ‘It was a terrible loss. It’s so weird as a five-year-old to look out in the street and see people reading the paper and crying while you’re crying and your mum is crying and your granny’s crying.

‘Even though it was the worst loss that I have experienced I was able to share it with people who genuinely, even if they didn’t know him, really seemed to love him.

‘I feel not many people are in that position – to have lost somebody and also to feel like that’s something really relevant to other people.’
