Kate Garraway was left red-faced after finding out her missing phone had caused quite the stir in the ITV studios on Monday.
The broadcaster, 56, had been presenting Good Morning Britain alongside co-host Richard Madeley when she discovered crew had been running around behind-the-scenes searching for it.
Addressing the topic live on air, Lorraine guest presenter Ranvir Singh appeared to discuss what was coming up on the ITV show.
But perplexed as to what had gone on, Kate admitted: ‘Now, I’ve got a missed call from you about 20 minutes ago, which panicked me slightly.
‘I thought, “is she ringing me to say I’m not going to make it in?” But you’re there, which is good!’

Ranvir, 46, was quick to clarify: ‘No, I’ll tell you what happened, Kate. I walked into the building and everyone is in a panic because they couldn’t find your phone. Apparently you’d lost it!’
Finally understanding the confusion, Kate was left red-faced as she burst out laughing, pointing out: ‘So you were one of the people trying to call it!’
Ranvir added: ‘Yes! Helen in the dressing room, she said, “Ranvir, you’ve got Kate’s number, ring it?” so I thought: Alright, I haven’t got anything else to do!’
Kate then joked about being ‘high maintenance’, to which Ranvir quipped: ‘Listen, we are all here in service of you and we love it.’
This is not the first time Kate’s mobile device has caused some disruption on the show.
Last month, Kate’s phone went off live on air when the presenters had been debating whether the disruptive protest tactics of Just Stop Oil were effective.
As Susanna Reid and Ben Shepherd chatted with environmentalist Swampy (Daniel Hooper) about JSO’s antics at Wimbledon, they were interrupted by a tinkly tune, with Susanna remarking: ‘Oh, we’ve got a musical soundtrack!’

As it emerged Kate was the culprit, Susanna quipped: ‘This is Kate Garraway’s protest’ while the flustered presenter insisted: ‘I’m so sorry, I don’t know what happened there! Oh my God, it’s happening again! it was on silent! It was on silent!’
While they managed to finish the segment, talk returned to Kate’s blunder later in the show.
As Susanna questioned if Kate had figured out what made her phone go off, Kate explained: ‘I think it was, well you know when they throw up memory videos of portraits? Well it was of my goddaughter who you’ve both met, Tabby.
‘She was coming up in a lovely selection which I couldn’t turn down.’
Referencing an earlier debate on the show about whether you’d let your partner go through your mobile, Susanna quipped: ‘Would you like me as your co-worker to go on your phone and go through your settings Kate?’
As Kate began: ‘I would like…’ she was cut off by the sound effect of a mobile ringing as she shouted at the crew ‘What? It’s not me, it’s not me! They’re gaslighting, they’re gaslighting in here!”
Ben then pointed out: ‘But gaslighting is when you haven’t done something, right? Whereas you actually did’, Kate responded: ‘Okay, I’m really, really sorry. Shall I just go? I’ll do the news and then I’ll go.’
