She has just spent 10 weeks in lockdown with her family at their home in Italy, amid the coronavirus pandemic.
And on Saturday, Kate Langbroek revealed that it’s made her a ‘better mother’ to her four children.
The 54-year-old radio personality shared a sweet photo of herself and her son Artie, 12, standing on some steps near their Bologna apartment.

‘Through our lockdown, I have become a better mother. Isn’t that an amazing thing to happen?’ she wrote in the Instagram caption.
In the image, Kate wears a chic navy outfit and beams as her son stands behind her.

It was was supposed to be a ‘family gap year,’ but they decided to extend the break for an additional 12 months.
It hasn’t all been smooth sailing though, with the region where they live going into stage-four lockdown in early March.

On Monday, Kate appeared as a guest quizmaster on Have You Been Paying Attention? via video link, and was asked what she’d found hardest about being confined to her apartment.
‘Aside from the cooking, the cleaning, the homeschooling, the world’s oldest profession,’ she joked, adding a wink.
The ‘world’s oldest profession’ usually refers to prostitution, however, Kate was likely referring to sexual relations with her husband of 17 years, Peter.

Kate also revealed that schooling her four children has been a challenge as she’s not great at the lessons.
‘It’s the lunches that are killing me,’ she said. ‘And also, I’m no good at maths. I’m, like, really terrible at maths.
‘And I’ve discovered I’m no good at English, geography, or any other subject,’ she laughed.
Italy has lifted its lockdown restrictions, and Kate said among the most difficult things she endured before being able to head outside was simply not doing much.
‘I’ll tell you what I have learnt, that doing nothing is exhausting,’ the TV personality added.
