Kate Middleton has cheekily tweeted the eye emoji, after Camila Cabello confessed that she stole a pencil from Kensington Palace. 

US pop star Camila Cabello, 22, made her confession during an interview with Radio One DJ Greg James this morning.

The interview, which was being filmed, was was then shared on Twitter, with the Duchess of Cambridge, 37, taking to the social media site to cheekily comment on the video.

The pop star admitted that Greg James had ‘triple dared’ her to steal something from the palace, when they both attended the Teen Hero Awards last month.

The interview was posted to the Radio One Twitter account, with a tweet saying: ‘I am sorry William and I am sorry Kate @KensingtonRoyal – @GregJames may have got @Camila_Cabello into a bit of trouble at the Palace.’  

The interview started when Greg James said: ‘Last time I saw you we were at the Palace’, to which she says: ‘Don’t tell anyone what my mother and I did’. 

However, Greg continues to spill her secret: ‘I haven’t mentioned this story at all because you told me not to. 

Explaining the situation he said: ‘We’re in Kensington Palace for the Teen Hero Awards. We were about to meet William and Kate, and I said “you’ve got to steal something, steal that pencil”.’

Camila, who is dating fellow pop star Shawn Mendes, went on to explain: “I was like you triple doggy dare me?” Which Greg went on to admit that he did.

While Camila says: ‘You can’t not do a triple doggy dare. If there’s anything I’ve learnt in my life it’s that, so I did it.

At Kensington Palace last month Camila joined the Radio 1 DJ, and finalists of BBC Radio 1’s Teen Heroes of 2019 – along with the Duke and Duchess.

However Kate obviously found it funny as she used the Kensington Royal Twitter account to leave an emoji which showed two eyes – perhaps showing how she was now watching Camila.

The Senorita singer went on to admit in the interview that Greg called her out for it on the day: ‘And then you, to one of the Palace people, called me out on it and you were like “she stole a pencil”, and I was like “oh my God”.  

‘And I put it in my mum’s purse and my mum was like “no we have to give it back, we have to give back the pencil”.

‘And I was like “no, he triple doggy dared me I have to take the pencil”, so I still have it.’

However, she did issue an apology and said: ‘So I’m sorry William and I’m sorry Kate.’
