The Duchess of Cambridge wore a pair of £65 earrings from London-brand Blaiz which celebrates ‘daring and spirited Latin American women’ to watch England take on Italy at the Euro 2020 final last night.

Kate Middleton, 39, made the dash from Wimbledon men’s final to Wembley to join her husband Prince William, also 39, and son Prince George, seven, in supporting the Three Lions only for it to end in heartbreak as Gareth Southgate’s men lost in a nail-biting penalty shoot-out.

Never one to miss a fashion moment, the royal sported a white blazer from Zara, which she wore with black trousers and statement red earrings – in a nod to England’s colours.

The earrings are made by boutique brand The Blaiz, who are based on Chelsea’s exclusive Kings Road, just a stones throw from Kate’s home in Kensington Palace.

Showing off the bold beaded design, Kate tucked her waved hair behind her ear with the statement piece standing out in an otherwise monochrome look.

Independent brand The Blaiz, has previously been wore by the likes of former Made in Chelsea star Ashley James, and describes itself online as ‘run by women, for women’.

Their website describes the ‘Blaiz woman’ as someone who is ‘confident and inspired by something unique’ adding they want a ‘piece of  the Latin American spirit to circulate around her, and she wants to stand out.’

It was founded by Stephanie Margaronis Mordehachvili, a Cambridge-educated former financier who was inspired to create the brand after travelling to Rio de Janeiro and falling in love with Brazilian fashion.     

They now have in-house collections with select designers that they say ‘radiates vivacious colours and textures that are a testimony to the South American continent, every piece tells a story’.   

Their website adds: ‘Each and every item is created with enduring, premium quality materials that will grace wardrobes for years to come, all whilst supporting worthwhile causes and encouraging developing talent and tradition across South America’.

The royals joined VIPs including David Beckham, Kate Moss and Tom Cruise, as well as Boris and Carrie Johnson, in the box at Wembley tonight.

The game ended on a 1-1 draw and went into extra time before ending in penalties. Despite two saves by Jordan Pickford, England missed three consecutive penalties and Italy were crowned the champions of Europe in front of 60,000 fans at Wembley.

Prince George reflected the mood across the nation as his exuberant joy made way for despair as England lost to Italy in the Euro 2020 final at Wembley.

William’s personal disappointment was clear in an Instagram post he shared minutes after the end of the match, which read: ‘Heartbreaking. Congratulations @Azzuri on a great victory. @England, you’ve all come so far, but sadly this time it wasn’t our day. You can all hold your heads high, and be so proud of yourselves – I know there is more to come. W.’
