The Duchess of Cambridge’s parents rubbed shoulders with royalty as they arrived at Wimbledon today.
Carole and Michael Middleton touched down in SW19 on Wednesday, closely followed by the Duchess of Cornwall and the Countess of Wessex.
Sophie, 53, lead the glamorous arrivals in a £1,992 turquoise pleated jumpsuit from Emilia Wickstead – which she wore just last month at Royal Ascot – while Camilla donned a dusky pink polka dot dress.
Carole, 63, looked set for summer in a belted white midi dress featuring a geometric pattern, paired with espadrille wedge pumps and a quilted chain bag, while her husband, 69, was dapper in a navy blazer and chinos.
Roger Federer will take on South Africa’s Kevin Anderson on Centre Court today, while Serena Williams will play Italian Camila Giorgi, with the Middletons making their second Wimbledon visit in a week.
However with tickets in high demand it is not clear whether the couple will be lucky enough to get seats in the exclusive royal box, as they did last week.
The couple have been lucky enough to secure seats in the royal box over the years, but a spot in the exclusive seating area – traditionally reserved for royals, athletes and VIPs – is not guaranteed, even when your daughter is patron of the club.
Indeed, last year Carole and daughter Pippa were forced to watch Andy Murray’s match against Benoit Paire outside of the VIP area, seated separately.
Each year, the All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club attracts the cream of society from It-girls to A-listers and even the occasional royal.
The Middletons’ youngest daughter, Pippa, is a keen tennis fan and put in an appearance with her brother James last week.

Camilla donned a blush pink polka dot number for her arrival at Wimbledon today, featuring a v-neck slit and pleated skirt. The Duchess, 70, looked delighted to be at SW19 as she chatted to guests including Seargeant Kelly Griffith

Pippa, 34, is just weeks away from welcoming her third child and has been keeping fit with Pilates and even a spot of tennis, she recently revealed.
Writing in her Waitrose Weekend column, she said: ‘If you’re a healthy, well-trained player with an uncomplicated pregnancy there’s no reason why you can’t continue a good level of tennis.’
However, Kate is unlikely to appear at Wimbledon this year as she is still on maternity leave having given birth to her third child, Prince Louis of Cambridge, in April.
Kate was named as patron of the All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club in 2016, after the Queen enjoyed 64 years in the role.
While Kate is a regular face in the royal box at Wimbledon, the Queen has attended the championships just three times since her first appearance in 1957.
