Kate Waterhouse has spent her birthday weekend with her nearest and dearest.

The racing heiress turned 41 and was treated by her husband, Luke Ricketson, with the pair heading out to a luxurious dinner.

Posts shared to social media showed Kate celebrating with her young children before heading out for the fancy meal.

Luke held up a gorgeous cupcake with a birthday candle in it, before Kate blew it out in a sweet moment between the couple.

She also showed her followers her upmarket dinner spread, which included beautifully presented dishes.

‘Birthday weekend. Feeling very loved and blessed,’ she wrote in her caption alongside the images.

Earlier this year, Kate and Luke listed an elegant pad located in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.

They set a price guide of $900,000 on the two-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment in Potts Point.

Waterhouse bought the unit as an investment property in 2010 for $525,000 and has been leasing it out for an eye-watering $900 a week.

Situated on the second floor of an apartment block in the heart of famed Sydney night spot Kings Cross, 2kms from the CBD, the unit offers a stylish slice of city living.

Features include a private balcony and a spacious open plan design.

There’s also a lavishly appointed bathroom and a modern kitchen with a chic dining ‘booth’.

The unit, meanwhile, is one of only 25 apartments in the block which opened in 1998.

Kate, who is the daughter of Gai Waterhouse and bookmaker Robbie Waterhouse, is known for her lavish lifestyle.

Waterhouse and Ricketson made headlines in 2020 when they splashed a whopping $17.8million on a mansion on Sydney’s north shore.

Located at sought after Balmoral Beach, the luxurious spread boasts five-bedrooms and amazing water views.

Tom Waterhouse, Kate’s brother, meanwhile, also owns a $13million beachfront house in the same suburb.

The racing heiress and the former sports star tied the knot in Sicily, Italy on June 28, 2012.

Popsugar reported at the time that Kate wore a Vera Wang dress, and the newlyweds were surrounded by 80 guests on their big day.

The couple share two daughters: Sophia Edie, nine and Grace Gabrie, six.

Kate is the first daughter of Australia’s legendary horse trainer Gai Waterhouse.

Gai won her first Melbourne Cup in 2013 with her horse Fiorente.

She was inducted into the Australian Racing Hall of Fame in 2007, and is often referred to as ‘first lady of Australian racing’.
