Katie Holmes stuns at opening night of her Off-Broadway play The Wanderers in NYC

Katie Holmes put on a fashion-forward display as she attended the Off-Broadway opening of The Wanderers in NYC on Thursday.

The 44-year-old actress looked beautiful as she posed in a black leather link skirt from designer Kate Hundley.

The mother-of-one, who was formerly married to Hollywood leading man Tom Cruise, teamed it with a crew neck white t-shirt.

The star, who plays Julia Cheever in the show, then topped it with an oatmeal-hued blazer.

Stepping away from her usual look, she wore her rich, dark locks in fluffy curls that tumbled over her shoulder.

Katie was full of smiles as she walked the step-and-repeat at the star-studded event by herself.

The Dawson’s Creek alum beamed with pride, three weeks after the show’s off-Broadway premiere.

The multidisciplinary storyteller turned heads in a pair of sheer black tights and pointy-toe black pumps.

Holmes, who’s mother to 16-year-old daughter Suri Cruise, sported a nude manicure.

She looked stunning as she flaunted a soft glow with the help of warm hues dusted on her eyes and cheeks.

The longtime actress finished the cosmetics look with a soft brownish pink stain worn on her lips.

Speaking about the play on Good Morning America last month, the star said, ‘I love this play. Very complex characters and [it] really explores human discontentment.’

‘But ultimately, you leave the play — there’s a line about “living in your miracle.” We’re all living in a miracle,’ she explained.

The Wanderers, written by playwright Anna Ziegler, poses the question: ‘Can we be happy with what we have while we have it?’ according to the Roundabout Theatre Company website.

‘It’s beautifully written and I love working with the actors that I’m working with and it’s wonderful to be on stage,’ Katie added during her press tour.

‘What I find to be interesting is this woman falls in love with a famous author,’ the star elaborated about the character.

‘She’s a woman who’s lucky enough to have a big career and a family, and balancing all of that. And [the author] is as well. And they’re sharing in their struggles and also their joys,’ the entertainer went on.
