Katie wore a pair of slim light blue jeans and black leather loafers to pound the pavement with the children.
The actress added another layer of warmth underneath her jacket with a large taupe-colored turtleneck sweater.
A large maroon purse was perfectly positioned across her shoulder as the Dawson’s Creek starlet kept her hands warm in her coat pockets.

The youngster added even more pizzazz to her number with a satin pink coat and bright red scarf tied around her neck.
Suri carried a white pillow case for her trick-or-treating adventure, which looked to be full of candy.
She took a moment to pause for selfies with her friends who were dressed in equally interesting costumes, with one appearing to have followed her lead and also dressed as a member of the pink ladies.

Earlier in the day, Katie shared a photo of her Halloween set up in an adorable photo of painted pumpkins on Instagram.
The actress unveiled her bold new pixie crop earlier this month after chopping off the signature long brunette locks she’s had for decades.
Katie explained her new haircut to People: ‘It’s for a role. I’m getting ready to play a woman in a movie called The Doorman. She’s an ex-Marine and she’s a warrior.’
Celebrity hairstylist DJ Quintero, the man behind her new look, added: ‘We were trying to find a balance between something feminine but kickass cause she’s working really hard – her body looks incredible.

‘She really wanted it to move on camera so it was actually like three haircuts. We did it over the weekend and it kind got shorter and shorter and shorter.’
Katie said to People of working on The Doorman: ‘I’m excited. I’m training. I’m sore.’
The film is being helmed by Japanese director Ryûhei Kitamura and also features French actor Jean Reno.
Katie was married to Suri’s father from 2006 until 2012; the couple got engaged after just seven weeks of dating and their daughter was born on the anniversary of their first date.

The pair tied the knot in a Scientologist ceremony at Odescalchi Castle in Bracciano, Italy in November 2006 after ‘officializing’ their marriage in Los Angeles the day before the Italian ceremony.
Katie filed for divorce in June 2012 after five years of marriage.
Katie has been linked to actor Jamie Foxx, 49, since 2013, but only went public with their relationship last month when they were pictured enjoying a romantic beach stroll in Malibu.
The actress was widely-rumored to have had a clause in her divorce settlement stipulating she had to wait five years before dating publicly.
