Katy Perry awkwardly claims she ‘CAN’T AFFORD’ to invite American Idol co-stars Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan to her wedding to Orlando Bloom

Katy Perry won’t be inviting her American Idol co-workers Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan to her wedding.

The Teenage Dream singer, 35, awkwardly admitted that her fellow judges aren’t on the guest list when the trio sat down on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Wednesday night.

Explaining why, Katy joked: ‘I can’t afford them.’

Not on the guest list: Things got a bit awkward when Katy Perry revealed that she isn’t inviting her fellow American Idol judges Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan to her wedding

Pressed on if whether the pair would perform at the wedding, she told Jimmy again: ‘Like I said, I can’t afford them.’

The diva – who is worth an estimated $330million – was clearly kidding.

Her real reasons were more practical, insisting: ‘They have a lot of work to do, you know, while I’m out getting married again,’ a nod to her 2010 wedding to Russell Brand.

This time around she’ll be getting hitched to actor Orlando Bloom.

While Katy wasn’t calling herself a straight-up ‘bride-zilla,’ she admitted to being very serious about planning her nuptials.

‘I call myself a “bride-chilla,”‘ she explained. ‘I’m kinda chill. But I am one of those girls where I got engaged February 14 and I booked the place February 19. I took it very seriously.’

Katy and Orlando announced their engagement last year via Instagram, when the star showed off her stunning ruby and diamond engagement ring with the caption:  ‘Full bloom.’

Though the Dark Horse singer and Lord Of The Rings actor were originally said to be planning 2019 nuptials, the couple later decided to push things back in order to accommodate their busy schedules.

‘They wanted to get married quickly but scheduling and pulling everything together has proven to be difficult,’ an insider told E! News last December.

‘The wedding was supposed to be in September, then December and now early next year. They have had to move things around because Katy has grand ideas of where and how she wants things to be.’

‘They have the guest list figured out and many of the details. They hope to have everything finalized soon because they are very excited about getting married.’
