Katy Perry is precious in pastel pink as she rings in the third season of American Idol

American Idol returns to ABC on Sunday after the judges spent months scouring the country for season three’s contestant roster.

And Katy Perry looked ready to celebrate when she hit the blue carpet with fellow judges Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan for the popular talent search show’s premiere party in Hollywood on Wednesday evening.

Perry put on an exceptionally leggy display in an iridescent pink mini-dress for the American Idol soiree, while her co-stars Richie and Bryan kept their ensembles on the casual side.

Iridescent: The 35-year-old singer stunned in a satin pink mini-dress that featured a unique silver polka dot pattern

Perry’s soft pink dress featured an asymmetrical polka dot pattern, which was outlined in shimmering silver thread.

Her curves were further accentuated by the dress’ tie strap belt which gave her waist a flattering cinch.

Her newly signature blonde locks were styled in cohesive finger waves, which beautifully framed the singer’s oval shaped face.

Danging from Perry’s ears were a pair of geometric drop earrings that coordinated with her iridescent dress.

Katy made sure to accessorize her getup with a Lucite chain link choker and a pair of pointed pumps donning a glistening silver strap.

The Teenage Dream songstress’ makeup really stole the show with its rich bronze tones and rampant rosy hues. 

Katy happily posed alongside her fellow judges, as they worked the event’s step-and-repeat in celebration of another Idol season.

Bryan made sure to let his country roots shine through when he stepped onto the carpet in a pair of distressed denim styled with suede cowboy boots, and a marbled brown toned jacket.  

Earlier in the day, the three Idol decision makers made their way over to Jimmy Kimmel Live at the El Capitan in Hollywood.

Lionel followed Perry into the late night show studio in an edgy all black getup as he waved to the crowd of eager fans waiting to get a glimpse of the trio.

Bryan made his life a lot easier by not changing out of his outfit and instead opting to rock the same fit for all of the day’s American Idol events.
