Kayakers find woman’s body in Sydney river

  • A corpse was found in Lane Cove River in Woolwich, Sydney in the morning
  • Police say the woman’s death is not suspicious but could not identify her
  • She is described as Caucasian in appearance, aged in her 20s or early 30s 

Kayakers yesterday found a young woman’s body in a river but it was so deformed that police couldn’t identify her.

The corpse was found in Lane Cove River in Woolwich, Sydney in the morning. 

Police trying to identify the body say the woman’s death is not suspicious. 

The corpse was found in Lane Cove River (pictured) in Woolwich, Sydney in the morning.

She is described as Caucasian in appearance, aged in her 20s or early 30s, approximately 168cm tall, with a slim build, long brown hair and brown eyes. 

She was wearing a navy/green long sleeve jumper, khaki cargo pants and silver bracelets on both wrists. 

She has a tattoo on her right shoulder blade, and a birth mark on her left shin.
