Kebab shop worker shoves a heavily pregnant customer out the door after she complained

This is the shocking moment a kebab shop worker allegedly shoved a heavily pregnant customer into a door after she complained about finding dead flies in her takeaway.

Morgan Arabin, 18, bought her meal of chicken nuggets and chips at Nemrud Kebab House in Skegness, Lincolnshire, on Bonfire Night.

But she says that when she sat down to eat it with her family she was ‘disgusted’ when she discovered fruit flies in her food and returned to the shop to complain.

One of Ms Arabin’s friends entered the shop half-way through the exchange and began recording.

In the video, she enters through the front door of the kebab shop where Ms Arabin is already stood with another friend at the counter.

A worker in the kitchen can be heard saying: ‘We don’t cook flies in here.’

To which she replies: ‘So, what are you saying, that we put them in there ourselves?’

Her friend calls the service ‘absolutely appalling’ and asks for a refund but the man behind the counter flat-out refuses.

He says ‘do whatever you want, I’m not going to listen’ before threatening to throw their food in the bin.

As Ms Arabin tells him not to get rid of the food because they had paid for it, the worker then bangs on the counter in a sudden outburst and screams: ‘Take it back.’

He storms out of the kitchen to confront the women and repeatedly tells them to ‘get out’.

Ms Arabin throws the takeaway box on the floor in disgust as she turns to leave and the worker appears to retaliate by shoving her towards the door.

Her furious friends shout ‘don’t push her, she’s pregnant’ as another member of staff rushes to intervene.

Ms Arabin herself then says: ‘I am nine months pregnant, what are you doing?’

But he tells her it ‘doesn’t matter’ and accuses her of making a ‘mess’ of the shop.

She replies saying ‘you made a mess of my food’ before she is eventually urged to leave by her friends who threaten to call the police.

The full-time mother-of-one said she had been expecting a straightforward refund but was instead made to feel scared and would never go back there.

Ms Arabin was unhurt but said she was left ‘shaken’ by the incident and later went for a scan to make sure her unborn baby was okay.

She added that she has since reported the worker to the police for assault and is due to make a further statement this week.

Speaking today, Ms Arabin said: ‘The response we received was disgusting. From the moment we entered he wouldn’t let us speak and was aggressive.

‘They denied there being any flies and refused to exchange the food. We had only asked for a fresh cheesy chips with nuggets.

‘He shoved me on the back of my shoulder into the door. It didn’t leave a bruise but I was left physically shaken.

‘He was very scary and intimidating, even his colleague came out to hold him back and I was genuinely shocked by the way he slammed his fist on the counter.

‘I was 36 weeks pregnant and was appalled that even after it was made clear to him that I was pregnant he continued to shout and behave in such a way.

‘If he had just apologised and replaced the food I would have had no problems. I could forgive a mistake.

‘My family and friends can’t watch the video as it makes them feel so uncomfortable.

‘Obviously, we were all concerned about my unborn baby so I had to be checked over at the hospital.

‘Thankfully, my baby is fine but the whole experience was extremely stressful and not what you need when you’re heavily pregnant and just trying to enjoy a treat with your family.’

Responding to a negative review from Ms Arabin on the kebab shop’s Facebook page, a man who claimed to be an employee accused her of ‘trying to get free food’.

He wrote: ‘Nobody else has complained about flies been in there food. The food is fresh and has been put straight into the food tray and wrapped up. Don’t lie, please.’
