Mitch Benn, 50, called for the nation to ‘indefinitely procrastinate’, ‘cease all activity’ and ‘chill with or without Netflix’ in the amusing clip.

Warning: Video contains strong language some may find offensive

The patriotic parody begins with comedian Mitch Benn dressed in military uniform, singing: ‘Once in every generation people of our land are called upon by history to bravely take a stand’

The performer sprawls out on the sofa in his dressing gown before carrying out tasks such as reading, above,

He sings: ‘Marie Kondo all your wardrobes, you will be so glad you did, or finally write your novel ah, who are we trying to kid?’ The video gained over 4,600 views online

The video, described as a ‘stirring call to inaction’, captures Mitch dressed in a military outfit and pointing towards the camera, echoing Lord Kitchener’s iconic ‘Your Country Needs You’ recruitment poster.

He then gives a thumbs-up while wearing a dressing gown before putting his feet up and sprawling out on the sofa while saluting.

The musician carries out tasks such as decorating, hanging up a picture and organising his wardrobe, eventually asking: ‘Who are we trying to kid?’

As part of the opening lyrics, Mitch sings: ‘Once in every generation people of our land are called upon by history to bravely take a stand.

‘Patriotic Britons hear your country call to you, we need to do our duty now which means we all must do f*** all, f*** all, all good people heed your nation’s call.

‘A time of national crisis needn’t be a time of stress, if we have a bit of Government-mandated idleness.’

Keep calm and do f*** all: Lyrics in full

Once in every generation people of our land are called upon by history to bravely take a stand.

Patriotic Britons hear your country call to you, we need to do our duty now which means we all must do f*** all, f*** all, all good people heed your nation’s call.

A time of national crisis needn’t be a time of stress, if we have a bit of Government-mandated idleness.

F*** all, f*** all, so diligently on your sofa sprawl.

Indefinitely procrastinate, go back to bed and masturbate, because you will do f*** all.

You could do a spot of decorating or some gardening, hang a picture, put up shelves or other useful things.

Marie Kondo all your wardrobes, you will be so glad you did, or finally write your novel ah, who are we trying to kid?

We’ll do f*** all, f*** all, eat cereal while staring at the wall.

It’s an easy way to spend a week or two, or five, or six.

The time has come for us to chill with or without Netflix.

F*** all, f*** all, standing absolutely still and standing tall.

Reducing infectivity by ceasing all activity while time slows to a crawl, f*** all.

What will save us when it comes to it is the laziness of your average wit and we have the wherewithal to do f*** all.

F*** all.
