Keke Palmer joins Chris Evans leading the stars at Lightyear premiere in LA

Keke Palmer turned up the glamour factor at the star-studded premiere of the new Disney film Lightyear when it was held in Los Angeles this Wednesday.

The Toy Story spin-off is computer animated and features Keke, 28, in a major voice role amid a glittering cast who joined her on the evening’s red carpet.

Chris Evans, who plays the title role of Buzz Lightyear, was also an unmistakable presence at the event, showing off his musclebound arms in a short-sleeved shirt.

Buzz Lightyear is an action figure who comes to life in the Toy Story films, while the new movie provides an origin story for the flesh-and-blood ‘Space Ranger’ on whom the toy was modeled.

Over the course of the movie the title character finds himself lost on a faraway planet struggling to return to Earth – only to be impeded by the machinations of James Brolin’s Emperor Zurg. 

The glittering cast includes dreamboat director Taika Waititi, who is known for his work in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and Dale Soules, who co-starred with Uzo on Orange Is The New Black.

Keke cut a sprightly figure at the fete, slipping into a dazzling true blue sequined skirt over a colorful skintight top that emphasized her enviably svelte frame.

Opting for green eye-makeup that complemented a trace of green in the print of her top, she balanced expertly on a highlighter-green pair of sky-high stilettos.

Meanwhile Chris, who became a global heartthrob through his role as Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, went for 1970s chic in a salmon, black, white, rust and tan print shirt.

He teamed the top with a pair of charcoal trousers and added an extra dash of style to the ensemble by warding off the summery rays with bronze-tinted shades.

Chris, whose role was originally played by Tim Allen in the Toy Story films, got in a bit of mingling during his time on the red carpet including with his jokey ‘Twitter girlfriend’ Yvette Nicole Brown.
