Kelly Brook gets in to the Christmas spirit with a festive red jumper and gingham skirt as she makes a stunning departure from Heart Radio

She always puts on a stunning display as she heads home from Heart FM.

And Kelly Brook, 42, appeared to be getting into the Christmas spirit as she teamed a red knitted cardigan with gingham maxi skirt on Wednesday.

The presenter added a chunky pair of lace up boots to add an edge to her wintery ensemble as she smiled for the cameras.

The high waisted flowing skirt featured a buttoned front and gathered shirred band that drew attention to her waist.

She layered over a onyx shearling trimmed leather jacket as she strolled home from the London studio.

The model accessorised with a pair of gold framed Ray Ban sunglasses and a circular quilted Gucci bag to complete her outfit.

Her long brunette tresses were pushed back and cascaded down past her shoulders with caramel highlights through the ends.

Recently, Kelly told MailOnline in a candid interview she was really happy with where she was in terms of her career and love life.

The television personality, who is in a long-term relationship with Jeremy Parisi, said: ‘I love my boyfriend, I love my job, my garden, my freedom, I love to travel.

‘The things that have made me happy now aren’t the things I thought would make me so in my 30s.

‘It’s more difficult to have children after 40, I know that. But if it’s something you don’t really want to do, it’s OK. I didn’t really want to have children. I didn’t want to get married and that’s OK. It’s OK to say that now.’

Elsewhere in the chat, Kelly said she is happiest working on the radio, where people can’t see her face or fabulous figure.

‘When you do radio they just hear you and if you’re telling a story and making people laugh — they’re not visualising you, they’re absorbed by what you say. I get such positive feedback from the radio compared to telly because people can’t see me.’

At the time she declared she was a trim size 12, but she’s yo-yoed in weight over the past few years, at her heaviest creeping up to a size 16. Immediately, the jibes appeared online about her being ‘unsexy’ and ‘past it’.

At one stage reality star Katie Price even branded her a ‘heifer’ — perhaps hoping for a public slanging match which Kelly, wisely, refused to be drawn into.

She said: ‘I finished my show (American sitcom One Big Happy) in LA. I was super fit and then I moved back here four years ago to the countryside, to my farm in Kent, and I stopped thinking about what I looked like.

‘I started living what I call my ‘Ma Larkin life’. I had ducks, beehives, I was cooking every day — huge roast dinners — and going to the pub and I really piled on the pounds. It didn’t help that I was also living with an Italian for whom food is religion.’

She was approached by SlimFast for whom she’s a brand ambassador, and with the help of their shakes and snack bars, managed to lose 21lbs.
