Kelly Clarkson wears a sparkly mini-dress as she gives fans a first look at her new talk show

Kelly Clarkson’s new NBC talk show will debut on September 6.

And on Friday the singer gave her fans a first look at the chat show. In a two-minute clip, the former American Idol star is seen on stage as she welcomes her audience. 

And the chart-topper, who has said Oprah Winfrey and Ellen DeGeneres are her inspirations, appeared very thrilled to be running her own show.

The 37-year-old wore a colorful mini-dress decorated with sparkly moons and letters teamed with black opaque tights and high heels.

And she left her blonde hair down and poker straights as she hit the stage.

And Kelly turned around to reveal what looked like a wall decorated with all her gold discs on a different part of the set.

In her clip, The Voice coach continued: ‘I get the opportunity to shine a light on people and organizations that get overlooked.’

That included the Union Rescue Mission on Skid Row in Downtown LA.

And, illustrating her point that anything and everything could happen on her show, a man in a yellow T-shirt in the audience got down on one knee to ask his girlfriend to marry him.

The video kicked off with Kelly surrounded by her hairdresser and stylists as she said: ‘Here we go, first show, coffee in hand. I’ve got this.’

Backstage, she smiled into the camera as she said: ‘Wish me luck, here I go.’

The beautiful blonde captioned the two-minute preview: ‘Mark your calendars y’all!!  The @kellyclarksonshow is coming at you Sept. 9.’

Demi Lovato was quick to comment: ‘Sign me up. This is the best idea.’ She was followed by actresses Jenna Dewan, Michlle Pfeiffer and Kristin Chenoweth all expressing their support. 

And the star ended the teaser saying: ‘Let’s be real: There’s always been a Kelly Clarkson show, now it’s on TV.’

Earlier this month she revealed that she will reunite former American Idol judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson on her show. Kelly was the season 1 winner in 2002.

Meanwhile, she is covering the new edition of Parade where she revealed she’d really like to play Rosemary Clooney’s part in an NBC live production of White Christmas.  

Meanwhile, it seems Kelly grew up admiring one really famous talk show host – Oprah Winfrey.

She told Parade: ‘My mom and I watched every day after school.’

The looker also said her dream guest would Oscar-winning actress Meryl Streep. ‘I’m a tad bit obsessed,’ she says. 

And the star said she knows how to stay upbeat. ‘I used to suffer from depression and I could easily slip back into that if I weren’t steadily paying attention to time management. With all the things that I do, I definitely need time for me,’ she says. 

Now she is known for surrounding herself with positive people. ‘Once I started weeding out [negative] people, it made a huge difference,’ she says.
