Kenneth will take the lead role in the film as Belgian detective Hercule Poirot.

In an interview with the ABC, he said he is relishing the opportunity to bring an 84-year-old story alive in the modern era.

‘I’m involved in a lot of Shakespeare and why do that again? Well, because the world has changed and great writing or great stories resonate with what the atmosphere is right now,’ he said.
