Keri Russell rocks white tee and mesh skirt as she laughs with Matthew Rhys for The Americans event

The finale of their hit show The Americans has been branded ‘one of the best scenes ever created on television’. 

So it is no wonder, Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys, who play Elizabeth and Philip Jennings, looked bursting with pride as they commanded attention on the red carpet in Los Angeles on Wednesday while promoting the ending of series six.

The actress, 42, was was dressed to impress in a simple white tee and mesh skirt as her beau, 43, cut a dapper figure in a suit for the event following the rip-roaring success of the dramatic final episode of the show.

The Felicity alum looked every inch the movie star as she graced the Saban Media Center while making a stunning style statement. 

She swathed her enviable figure in a couture skirt that boasted a see-through fabric hitting just above the ankle.

Her trademark brunette tresses were swept back in a messy ponytail allowing her youthful face to shine. Complimenting her simple yet refined look, Keri added a small black oval clutch and a simple teardrop necklace.

Matthew looked sharp in a grey jacket, black pants, and crisp white sneakers as he accompanied Keri.

Keidrich Sellati and Holly Taylor joined the couple for a photo op on the red carpet.

Their hit FX show The Americans kicked off its sixth and final season on March 28.

Russell and Rhys have been both onscreen partners and real-life loves, dating since 2013 and sharing son Sam together.

Keri said: ‘Set in this weird, heightened spy world, it just allows all of the feelings of a long-term relationship, specifically a marriage, to play out in very big firework ways.’

She also let slip that ‘we have a pretty juicy ending’ to the series. Matthew joked: ‘Everyone dies. Pretty simple.’
