Kerry Katona fears she’ll go BANKRUPT after cancelled bus route forces her to shell out £200 on taxi

Kerry Katona has expressed concern that she’ll go bankrupt after learning the bus route her daughter Lilly-Sue uses to go to school has been scrapped.

The mother-of-five, 37, revealed that she has no other choice that to spend £200 a week on taxis to get her 15-year-old daughter, who she shares with singer Brian McFadden, to school everyday.

The former Atomic Kitten star has now shared her concern about the impact the cancelled bus route will have on Lilly’s studies.

Now panic-stricken, she explained to Kent Live that Lilly is one of 20 pupils affected and left without transport – although both the council and bus company insist they are not to blame for the loss of service.

Kerry told Kent Live: ‘I’m a single parent and I have five children at three different schools. The bus route has been cancelled and they haven’t told us all summer until now… we’ve literally just found out it’s been cancelled. I’m in a panic.’

With her plans in chaos, she revealed the public transport alternative for Lily is an arduous hour and 40 minutes commute every morning and the other alternative of a daily £40 taxi will leave her bankrupt.

She added: ‘Why should my daughter have to change schools? She’s been here for four years. Do they want me to uproot my daughter because they cancelled her bus route?

‘I’ve 100 per cent not got £40 per day to get her to school, it’s tight as it is. I’ll end up back in bankruptcy if that’s the case. I want to make sure my child gets the education she deserves.’

Kerry’s other children Heidi, Maxwell and Dylan-Jorge, attend two different schools to Lilly, while Molly, 17, has recently left education.

A spokesman for Hams Travel told the publication: ‘The council took it away from us because it’s not commercially viable to keep it going. We have been doing the route for years and have had funding from the council for a long time.

‘We didn’t know it would be cancelled until the last minute – not long ago. We got all the paperwork done but they pulled the funding, we had a driver allocated and everything.’

While East Sussex County Council has claimed it had only subsidised the bus route since February 2018. MailOnline have contacted a spokesperson for East Sussex County Council and Hams Travel.

The news comes after Kerry promoted a firm that reportedly sells illegal, rip-off designer brands for a fraction of the price on social media.

The singer has shared several posts on Instagram modelling items from Instagram company Bex Boutique, which describe themselves as a company that sells ‘Luxury Designer Replicas’.

Kerry has also used her children to praise the brand, sharing a picture of her son wearing seemingly fake Gucci trainers.

She captioned the picture of 10-year-old Max: ‘Off out with this crazy lot…a big thank you @bb.desingers for the kids new trainers.’

The seller’s Instagram page is packed with seemingly fake high-brands like Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Gucci and Moncler and describes the goods as: ‘Luxury designer replicas.’

Buyers are told their goods will take up to three weeks to be delivered and are warned: ‘No refunds.’

Kerry has also posed in seemingly fake Luis Vuitton trainers advertised by Bex Boutique for £145, costing £500 less than an authentic pair.

The Whole Again singer was also photographed with a Louis Vuitton hold-all and phone case, captioned: Rocking it….bag from @bb.desingersx.’

Fans were told the bag cost £150, yet an authentic version would set a buyer back roughly £1,000.

Trading standards bosses have revealed there are thousands of dodgy vendors selling counterfeit items on social media. And the trade lines the pockets of dangerous gangs.

Now a specialist unit is working with Instagram and Facebook to close down the rogue traders.

Officers have dozens of investigations underway into the biggest dealers.

Mike Andrews, of the National Trading Standards eCrime team, said: ‘There are literally thousands of people on social media selling fake items but we are working hard to close them down.

‘People might think they are buying a bargain from a chap down the road who has some goods to sell but ultimately the people behind shipping in these goods in bulk are organised gangs and the money filters through to activities like prostitution, guns and drugs.’

MailOnline has contacted Kerry Katona’s representative. Bex Boutique’s spokesperson declined to comment.
