Kerry Katona has been ‘making children cry’ in evil role

She has been busy taking on the role of evil queen Carabosse in the Sleeping Beauty pantomime in Manchester at the Middleton Arena.

But now it has emerged Kerry Katona is taking her villainous role a step too far, as she has been ‘scaring’ young children and making them ‘burst into tears.’

‘She has gone over the top playing the baddie,’ a source told the Daily Star, before continuing: ‘Kerry loves acting and throws herself into the role and she thought by being mean and loud the crowd would love it.’

Kerry Katona is reportedly taking her villainous role as evil queen Carabosse in the Sleeping Beauty pantomime a step too far, as she has been ‘scaring’ young children and making them ‘burst into tears’

‘But for some of the little ones it’s been too much and they’ve burst into tears,’ it was continued about the former Atomic Kitten star’s performance.

It has also been added that Kerry has become aware of the situation and is now attempting to ‘tone down’ her performances to keep the show as fun and light-hearted as possible.

MailOnline has contacted representatives for Kerry for further comment.

Kerry has been channelling her inner villain for her pantomime appearance that sees her take to the stage as the evil Carabosse in the Middleton Arena production of Sleeping Beauty in Manchester.

Sleeping Beauty kicked off at the end of November and is set to run until December 27.

This comes after reports that her panto was ‘at risk’ after she was struck down by an illness earlier this week.

Kerry, who has been documenting her time on the stage on social media with plenty of snaps of her in character, posted a public apology to theatre-goers, as she explained she is feeling under the weather.

The mother-of-five shared a message that read: ‘Apologies to everyone who is coming to the panto tonight I have an extremely sore throat I will do my best,’ adding later: ‘I’m soooo poorly!!! Can bearly speak!!! I’m so sorry! But will do my best!’ (sic)

Rolling around the floor and making a gun with her hands, Kerry larked about in-between shows and likened her behaviour to a moment of ‘morning madness’. Hoping to entertain fans, she said: ‘Spy hunt!! 007!!! Morning madness on another 3 show day! Hope it makes you all smile!’
